Zahmir's one of those Path of Exile 2 endgame checks that feels fine right up until it isn't. If you're trying to farm efficiently and keep your death counter low, you'll want to treat him like a mechanics test, not a DPS race. The payoff is real, though, especially if you're chasing PoE 2 Currency and you don't mind a fight that punishes sloppy spacing. He's the final Anomaly boss in Sacred Reservoir, and he's perfectly happy to end a good run in a couple of seconds.

Getting Into Sacred Reservoir
You can't just walk in. The Temporal Sandstorm blocks the route, and it only clears after you break three Temporal Tethers in nearby zones. Each tether isn't a quick tap-and-go either; you'll usually get jumped when you arrive, so plan for three warm-up fights before you even see the arena. If you've already done anything like the Qimah Reservoir route, the flow will feel familiar, but don't let that trick you into rushing. Getting there with flasks half-empty is a bad way to start.

Phase One: Sword Pressure
At the start, Zahmir keeps it simple and brutal. He closes distance fast, strings combos together, and loves catching you when your movement skill's on cooldown. A lot of wipes here come from trying to stand your ground and "trade." Don't. Step in, tag him, step out. Let him finish a chain, then punish the recovery. Your goal is to push him down to roughly 40%, not to force a perfect burst window. When Zarokh appears and time freezes, Zahmir gets topped back up, and that's your cue that the real pacing shift is coming.

Phase Two: Delays, Angles, and Screen Control
This is the part that breaks people. Zahmir starts folding time into the kit, and the delays are the trap. If you dodge the instant you see the animation, you'll often roll into the hit that lands a beat later. Instead, watch the indicator, wait until the path is committed, then move. Keep him on-screen, too. Players panic, sprint to the edge, and suddenly you can't read the curved projectiles or the expanding zones. Stay close enough to see the wind-ups, circle rather than flee, and save one defensive tool for the "I messed up" moment instead of spending everything on cooldown.

Loot, Farming Value, and Shortcuts
If you settle into the timing, Zahmir becomes a steady farm with real upside. Drops like Varashta's Blessing, Khatal's Rejuvenation, and Garukhan's Resolve can swing a build or turn into trade money, and the fight gets more consistent once you stop reacting early to the time-stop feints. If you're gearing an alt or just don't want to sit in trade chat all night, some players top off by grabbing currency or key items through U4GM so they can focus on practicing the mechanics and running more maps per session.Welcome to U4GM—where POE 2 endgame feels less like a grind and more like a win. Heading into Sacred Reservoir for Zahmir? You'll want clean movement, mid-range control, and a stash that's ready for repeat runs.
