Steel Structures Admisible Sress valuation
Version: 1.0
Description: This small aplication can be used to calculate the allowable
stress in steel columns working under compression loads. It uses the Euler
ecuation for elastic buckling of columns(slender columns). And for
inelastic Buckling of Columns it use Engesser's teory. The factor of safety
for long columns is 23/12 and for short columns it varies from 5/3 to 23/12
(in a sinus curve. This program also calculate the factor of safety,
Slenderness ratio, and Cc. Cc is the slenderness ratio that separates
elastic from inelastic buckling (Cc=126 E=2E6Kg/cm2 and fy=2500 Kg/cm2.
The datum required is E, fy, K (equivalent lenght coefficient, L and R
(R=(I/A)^0.5).
