SURVEYWORKS VERSION 3.00 FOR THE HP49

INSTALLATION


The HP49 must be in RPL MODE (To set RPL MODE press   MODE +-  OK   )
Transfer the file named Survey49.LIB to the HP49.
(To begin receive Press the "G" key    next press the "2" key next press
next press the    "ENTER" key    and select TRANSFER.   Make sure it is on BIN not ASC mode.
next press receive.

After transfer is complete press the   "VAR"   key
Then press the   "A"   key.  
Next press the   "0"   key (zero key)
Next press the    "STO"   key
Next TYPE     1007  ATTACH      and press ENTER
Next turn the HP49 off.
Next turn the HP49 on.
Next type        BEGIN 
Next press the   "ENTER"   key

Congratulations installation should now be complete!

SETING UP YOUR INSTRUMENT FOR CALCULATIONS

This will bring you to the SETUP MENU
From the SETUP MENU press (B)

Simply press (A-D) depending on what you wish to do.

From the MAIN MENU press (E)
This will bring up the STAKE-OUT MENU
Here you can stake a point or intersect a line
Simply press (A or B) depending on what you wish to
or intersect.

INVERSE POINT TO POINT

From the MAIN MENU press (F)
This will bring up the COGO MENU
Next press (A)PT->PT
You will then be prompted for POINT FROM? (key in the 
point no. from and press ENTER)
You will then be prompted for POINT TO? (key in the 
point no. to and press ENTER)
You will then be displayed the PT FROM, PT TO, 
AZIMUTH, BEARING, and DISTANCE using inverse.

INVERSE BY COORDINATES

From the MAIN MENU press (F)/COGO
This will bring up the COGO MENU
Next press (B)INVER
You will then be prompted for "Northing From(Y)?", 
"Easting From(X)?", "Northing To(Y)?", and "Easting To(X)?".
After the above is input you will then be displayed the
AZIMUTH:
BEARING:
DISTANCE
between the coordinates

VIEW POINTS

From the MAIN MENU press (F)
Next press (A)
This allows you to view current points in data.
You can recall a certain point number by pressing
(D) from this menu.  It will prompt you for the
point number you wish to view.  Simply input the
point number you wish to view and press ENTER.
The coordinates and descrition for that point will
then be displayed.  You may also view the next and
previous point by pressing (B or C).  This toggles
to the next or previous points.

STORING NEW POINTS

From the MAIN MENU press (F)
Next press (A)
Next press (A)
You will then be prompted for Northing?, Easting?, and Description?
Simply input each and press ENTER.  Your New Point will then be stored.

CALCULATE ACRES

From the MAIN MENU press (F)/COGO
Next press (D)/Calculate Acres

You will then be prompted for the POINT-OF-BEGINNING?
Input it and  press ENTER.
You will then be prompted for NEXT PT?
Input it and press ENTER.
When you are finished inputting Pt numbers to use
you must input the POINT-OF-BEGINNING again so
that it can do the appropriate calculations.
You will then be displayed the Square FT and ACREAGE of
the point list you input.

ADJUSTING YOUR SURVEY DATA (MOVING POINTS)

From the MAIN MENU press (F)/COGO
Next press (E)/ADJUST DATA
Next select either (A)/MOVE POINTS or (B) ROTATE POINTS
When moving points you will be prompted for the first
point to move and the last point to move.  This will be
your RANGE of points to move.  Next you will be prompted for
an azimuth to move the points.  Next you will be prompted for
a distance to move the points.  The points will now be adjusted.

ADJUSTING YOUR SURVEY DATA (ROTATING POINTS)

Rotating your points is the same as the above only
you are prompted for a rotation point, old azimuth,
and new azimuth.

INTERSECT A LINE

From the MAIN MENU press(E)/STAK
Next press (B)/Intersect_a_Line
Next you will be prompted for the First point on line you
wish to intersect
Next you will be prompted for the 2nd point on the line you
wish to intersect
Next you will be prompted for the Angel Right to the line
After you input the desired angle right to the line
You will then be displayed the distance to line between the 
1st and 2nd point on line you input using the angle right
you input.

Next you will be prompted for azimuth to convert
You will then be displayed the input azimuth and
the azimuth converted to a bearing.

IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY: SURVEYWORKS software may be referred to as THE PRODUCT.  This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and SURVEYWORKS for the software product identified above, which includes software and may include associated media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic documentation ("Product").  An  amendment or addendum to this EULA may accompany the Product.  YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS EULA BY INSTALLING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE PRODUCT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE PRODUCT; YOU MAY RETURN IT TO YOUR PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR A FULL REFUND ONLY IF THE PACKAGE IS UNOPENED.

1.	GRANT OF LICENSE. SURVEYWORKS grants you the following rights provided that you comply with all terms and conditions of this EULA:

a.	Installation and Use. 

You may install and use one copy of the Product only for your company uses.  You may make up to two backup copies of the installation disk and instruction manual.

b.	Performance or Benchmark Testing. 

You may not disclose the results of any benchmark test using SURVEYWORKS to any third party without SURVEYWORKS prior written approval.

 (ii)	Reservation of Rights. 

SURVEYWORKS reserves all rights not expressly granted to you in this EULA.

2. 	ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE.  

This EULA applies to updates or supplements to the original Product provided by SURVEYWORKS, unless we provide other terms along with the update or supplement.   

3.	TRANSFER.  

Transfer to Third Party. The initial user of the Product may make a one-time transfer of the Product to another end user.  The transfer has to include all component parts, media, printed materials, this EULA, and if applicable, the Certificate of Authenticity.  The transfer may not be an indirect transfer, such as a consignment.  Prior to the transfer, the end user receiving the transferred Product must agree to all the EULA terms.  You may rent, lease, or lend the Product. 

4.	LIMITATION ON REVERSE ENGINEERING, DECOMPILATION, AND DISASSEMBLY. 

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Product.  

5.	TERMINATION. 

Without prejudice to any other rights, SURVEYWORKS may cancel this EULA if you do not abide by the terms and conditions of this EULA, in which case you must destroy all copies of the Product and all of its component parts.

6. 	CONSENT TO USE OF DATA. 

You agree that SURVEYWORKS may collect and use technical information you provide as a part of support services related to the Product.  SURVEYWORKS agrees not to use this information in a form that personally identifies you.   

7.	DISCLAIMER OF  WARRANTIES. 

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SURVEYWORKS and its suppliers provide the Product and support services (if any) AS IS AND WITH ALL FAULTS, and hereby disclaim all other warranties and conditions, either express, implied or statutory, including, but not limited to, any (if any) implied warranties, duties or conditions of merchantability, of fitness for a particular purpose, of accuracy or completeness of responses, of results, of workmanlike effort, and of lack of negligence, all with regard to the Product, and the provision of or failure to provide support services.  ALSO, THERE IS NO WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, QUIET POSSESSION, CORRESPONDENCE TO DESCRIPTION OR NON-INFRINGEMENT WITH REGARD TO THE PRODUCT. 

8.	EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL AND CERTAIN OTHER DAMAGES.  

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SURVEYWORKS OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR CONFIDENTIAL OR OTHER INFORMATION, FOR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, FOR PERSONAL INJURY, FOR LOSS OF PRIVACY, FOR FAILURE TO MEET ANY DUTY INCLUDING OF GOOD FAITH OR OF REASONABLE CARE, FOR NEGLIGENCE, AND FOR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY OR OTHER LOSS WHATSOEVER) ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT, THE PROVISION OF OR FAILURE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES, OR OTHERWISE UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY PROVISION OF THIS EULA, EVEN IN THE EVENT OF THE FAULT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, BREACH OF CONTRACT OR BREACH OF WARRANTY OF SURVEYWORKS OR ANY SUPPLIER, AND EVEN IF SURVEYWORKS OR ANY SUPPLIER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 


9. 	LIABILITY. 

SURVEYWORKS OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES MAY NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS THAT MAY OCCUR BY USING THE PRODUCT.


10. 	COPYRIGHT.  

The Product is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and treaties. SURVEYWORKS or its suppliers own the title, copyright, and other intellectual property rights in the Product.  The Product is licensed, not sold.

11.	ENTIRE AGREEMENT.  

This EULA, including any addendum or amendment to this EULA which is included with the Product, are the entire agreement between you and SURVEYWORKS relating to the Product and the support services (if any), and they supersede all prior or contemporaneous oral or written communications, proposals and representations with respect to the Product or any other subject matter covered by this EULA.  To the extent the terms of any SURVEYWORKS policies or programs for support services conflict with the terms of this EULA, the terms of this EULA shall control.  If you do not agree to any of the above please return the product unopened to the place of purchase.  Or delete all files give to you.
