Mi pregunta es ¿Para el diseño de los pilares. Cual es el area tributaria que se debe considerar para las acciones del viento que sopla paralelo a la cumbrera?

se muy bien q cuando el viento sopla transversal a la cumbrera, se debe considerar el area de (SEPARACION ENTRE COLUMNA X ALTURA DE LA MISMA); pero cuando el viento pega en la cara frontal del galpon (paralelo a la cumbrera) cual es el area entonces??? sera la (LUZ DEL GALPON X ALTURA DE COLUMNA)??? ó acaso sera la misma area de (SEPARACION ENTRE COLUMNA X ALTURA DE LA MISMA)???... muchas gracias...espero ansioso sus respuestas!!! :SM030:

Si hay paredes unidas a las columnas, entonces si: Altura columna x espacio entre columnas + área de cumbrera, sino solo el área de la cumbrera, el área de la columna es despreciable.

Antes q nada gracias por la respuesta...haber vamos a analizarla y tu me diras si estoy en lo correcto: Dices q si hay paredes el area sera: Altura columna x espacio entre columnas.ok veamos: mi galpon tiene un revestimiento para cerramiento (muro), la luz del galpon es de 20 mts y la altura de los pilares es de 14.61 mts, entonces el area tributaria en la cara frontal es A= (20 X 14.61)m2 ??? de acuerdo a lo tu planteas: estoy en lo cierto??

Si solo son 2 columnas, entonces es esa área /2 para cada una, además sumar el área de la cumbrera

No se te olvide en la dirección perpendicular la succión.

Elvis tienes que consultar lo que esta dispuesto en la norma Covenin 2003 y la ASCE 7-05. No es así como lo están planteando.

La norma ASCE 7-05 dice:

BUILDING AND OTHER STRUCTURE, FLEXIBLE:
Slender buildings and other structures that have a fundamental
natural frequency less than 1 Hz.
BUILDING, LOW-RISE: Enclosed or partially enclosed
buildings that comply with the following conditions:
1. Mean roof height h less than or equal to 60 ft (18 m).
2. Mean roof height h does not exceed least horizontal dimension.
BUILDING, OPEN: A building having each wall at least
80 percent open. This condition is expressed for each wall by
the equation Ao ≥ 0.8Ag where
Ao = total area of openings in a wall that receives positive
external pressure, in ft2 (m2)
Ag = the gross area of that wall in which Ao is identified, in
ft2 (m2)
BUILDING, PARTIALLY ENCLOSED: A building that
complies with both of the following conditions:
1. The total area of openings in a wall that receives positive
external pressure exceeds the sum of the areas of openings

No veo donde la norma contradice lo que he discutido, porque es la carga para las columnas, no como se aborda el problema en un edificio completo.

No veo donde la norma contradice lo que he discutido, porque es la carga para las columnas, no como se aborda el problema en un edificio completo.
OK lo hare como lo planteas...ya calcule todas las presiones de viento de fachadas y techo en todas las direcciones del viento con la Norma COVENIN.. el estimado mccloud_1, siempre comenta cosas importantes, sin embargo no te respondio ni justifico el porq no es asi como se ha planteado!!...Buen saludos fjdm.. :)

Sres. nuestra norma COVENIN de viento (fiel copia del original ASCE) establece unos coeficientes de empuje y succión para los distintos componentes de las cubiertas y cerramientos que son diferentes en cada parte de la estructura, también establece las áreas aferentes a los elementos resistentes a viento tal como aparece en las imágenes que les anexo.

Yo no tengo que justificar nada porque tengo bien claro como se hace la estimación de las cargas de viento y como actúan sobre este tipo de estructuras. Esa SIMPLIFICACIÓN que jfjdm da de "la mitad del área mas la cumbrera" o bien sobredimensiona los elementos o los subdimensiona.

En esto la norma es bien clara. Consulta Elvis la COVENIN 2003 que en sus comentarios hasta un ejemplo resuelto tiene para que te guíes. Para mayor informacion la ASCE 7-05 tiene mejores explicaciones que nuestra norma.

Lo que estás poniendo en el gráfico es lo que dije 4+5 en la dirección que se consultó, que es igual a área entre columnas + área de cumbrera, entre 2 para cada columna, sin sobredimensionar ni subdimensionar nada.
El problema era sobre el área a tomar, no acerca de coeficientes ni nada más.

No hay que buscarle 5 patas al gato, y más en cosas de ingeniería.

Estimado mccloud_1,

Mi problema no es con respecto al cálculo de los coeficientes, ni nada de eso; de hecho ya calcule todo eso. Solo quiero saber cuál es el área tributaria para analizar el pilar con respecto a la dirección consultada (viento paralelo a la cumbrera). Como t dije las presiones del viento en esa dirección ya las calcule. Y por lo tanto no es lo q estoy buscando. Por esta razón, no veo ninguna necesidad de consultar de nuevo la norma COVENIN de viento.
Para mí y con todo respeto creo q no entendiste bien mi problema.

Ese grafico q colocaste ahí sirve para calcular las presiones del viento en los componentes y cerramientos. Los pilares no pertenecen a los componentes y cerramientos. Ellos pertenecen al sistema resistente al viento.

si piensas q estoy equivocado cuando digo q no entendiste bien...entonces explicame para que me mandas ese grafico??, cuyo valor de "a" en mi galpon vale 2 m... ¿ q tiene q ver ese grafico con respecto al area tributaria del pilar solicitado al viento paralelo en cumbrera?'...
